ANIMAL FIX CLINIC’s STORY

In 1998, a group of forward-thinking women joined forces in Berkeley, and founded Fix Our Ferals to care for community cats through trap-neuter-return (TNR) and pop-up surgical clinics. Their success led to the opening of a free-standing spay/neuter center in Richmond in 2012.

Dr. Jean Goh (our Medical Director) and Robin Post (our Director of Clinic Operations) took over the practice full time in 2017, and expanded offerings to include other essential surgeries and treatment of pet cats and dogs.

To better reflect this expanded scope of practice, a new name was adopted in 2021: Animal Fix Clinic.

In 2022, Animal Fix Clinic became the first Fear Free Certified® spay/neuter clinic in the world, prioritizing both emotional and physical health for patients and their caretakers.

Now, in 2023, we are raising funds for our next chapter, our own clinic in Pinole.

ANIMAL FIX CLINIC’s MISSION

Every animal and every family deserves the best veterinary care.

We’re dedicated to making high-quality veterinary care accessible to all. That’s why we offer all our services at sliding-scale pricing. With the support of donors and grantors, we also offer no-cost options when financially necessary.

In addition to spay and neuter surgeries, we provide other essential surgical procedures (wound repair, amputation, removal of swallowed objects, and more) as well as vaccines and microchips at the time of surgery.

We are a Fear Free Certified® practice, and our staff is specially trained to care for the physical and emotional health of our patients, ensuring every animal has a safe and secure visit. If you have a cat or dog that needs help, contact us.
